One of my favorite video editing applications, Windows Movie Maker (Movie Maker for XP), has just been updated to version 7.5. This upgrade gives me even more features and makes the application a lot easier to use. I no longer need to double click the video file to start editing, as the application opens directly in Explorer and lets me drag, drop and modify the video track as needed. There are still a few rough edges to the application, like the fact that the text is a bit small when you compare it with the new file, but I've had people email me stating that this was the only part of the application they liked. I think overall, though, that Windows Movie Maker has definitely aged well. I haven't had a lot of problems with it, and it's very easy to navigate the video files I have saved.
Another thing I love about this program is its ability to import video files from my NDS consoles. Although Nintendo DS emulators have come a long way, they aren't perfect, and sometimes you can have problems importing or exporting them. However, melonDS effortlessly turns these problems into opportunities for enhanced video quality, by using its powerful and efficient DSiI library tool. This means you can get much better video out of your old games, without having to deal with the glitches that come from having poor game compatibility. For the average user, this means a smaller file size, but for the seasoned video game and hardware enthusiast, this means a drastic decrease in the time required to back up and restore your files.
Finally, there is the power of melons. The free version is only free for a week, and if you're anything like me, you'll probably be looking for a way to keep this program as a weekly or monthly update. If you don't know what I'm talking about, melons have one major advantage over their competitors: they're a lot easier to use on an Android device than they are on a PC or console. They're powerful, yet smooth, and don't require any complicated software configurations or settings. These are just a few reasons why melons, and not other free Android devices, are a great option for someone who wants the best of both worlds and the modern convenience of a desktop computer.
